Privacy Policy

The short version

This site has no accounts, no logins, no email list and no advertising. It does not sell data, because it does not have anything worth selling. The only measurement is an aggregate page counter that cannot identify you or follow you to other websites.

1. Who runs this site

JWFFC is an independent community project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by John Wall, the John Wall Family Foundation, or the NBA. Questions about privacy can be sent to @R3D3Y3_SNIPER on X.

2. What is collected

Aggregate analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. These record page views, the page you came from, approximate country, device type and page load performance. They use no cookies, set no persistent identifier, and are first-party — the scripts are served from this domain and cannot track you across other websites. The data we see is aggregate; we cannot identify an individual visitor from it.

Hosting logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request data including your IP address in order to deliver the page and defend against abuse. This is ordinary web hosting, and it is governed by Vercel's own privacy policy.

Google Fonts

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore makes a request to Google's servers, which receives your IP address. We are disclosing this because it is true, even though it is easy to miss. If this matters to you, a browser extension that blocks third-party font requests will not break the site — it will simply fall back to system fonts.

The free throw game

When you finish a run, the game sends your challenge code and the timing of your taps to our verification endpoint, which re-simulates the shots to compute the score. That request contains no personal information and the results are not stored — the endpoint is stateless. Your best runs are saved in your own browser's local storage, on your device, and are never transmitted to us.

Wallet connection

If you choose to connect a Solana wallet, the site reads your public address only, in order to display your balance and holder tier. It is read-only: it never requests a signature, never requests a transaction, and never has access to your private key or recovery phrase. We do not store your address on any server.

Nobody from this project will ever ask for your recovery phrase or private key. Anyone who does is attempting to steal from you.

3. What is not collected

• No accounts, passwords, names, email addresses or phone numbers
• No tracking cookies, advertising pixels or cross-site identifiers
• No session recording, heatmaps or mouse tracking
• No data brokers, and no sale or rental of data to anyone
• No private keys, seed phrases or wallet credentials, ever

4. Public blockchain data

Anything published on the Solana blockchain is public by design and is not private information created by this site. Wallet addresses, balances, transfers and transaction history can be read by anyone using a block explorer, whether or not they ever visit this site. Where we display such data — holder leaderboards, the transparency dashboard, the reserve wallet — we are reading a public ledger, not a private database. Blockchain records are permanent and cannot be deleted by us or by anyone else.

5. Local storage on your device

The site stores a small amount of data in your own browser: your best free throw runs, and whether you dismissed the development notice. This never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Nothing here is a tracking cookie.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Cryptocurrency involves financial risk and is not appropriate for minors.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing — including under the GDPR and the CCPA. Because the analytics we hold are aggregate and contain no identifier for you, in practice there is usually no personal record to retrieve or erase. If you believe we hold something about you, contact us and we will look and tell you honestly what we find.

8. Data retention

Aggregate analytics are retained by our analytics provider according to their plan's retention period. Hosting logs are retained by Vercel for a limited period. We keep no separate database of visitors.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change with it. We will not quietly start collecting more than this document describes.
